The opening of ‘A Space for You’ took place on Thursday 27 June. The ceremony was performed by Mrs Stokes, before which Reverend Kate thanked all those who helped bring the space to life:

• The Senior Leadership Team who identified the space and then let us keep it!
• Mrs Khan for her support and advice and for the resources with which she has blessed us.
• Mrs Manning for her warm welcome to Belling and for her encouragement.
• The Maintenance Team for moving furniture from the Chapel and out of the room.
• Mrs Cameron, for her leadership of the school which makes activities like this possible.

Mrs Stokes then thanked Reverend Kate for doing everything to make the space possible.

Acknowledging that ‘A Space for You’ is for students of all faiths and worldviews, Reverend Kate said that the space will, necessarily, take on the character of those using it at a particular time; she therefore prayed simply for God’s blessing to be upon all those who use the room.

Making the opening of ‘A Space for You’ fun and worthwhile were the new Chapel Stewards for 2024/25 for which there will be a handover in Chapel next week – watch this space!
