We are enormously grateful to the Old Queenswoodians’ Association for generously funding the establishment of our Archive Room, which was officially opened by incoming and outgoing OQA Chairs Kate Belshaw and Tricia Wrinch on Saturday 6 July.

The project was spearheaded by Director of External Relations Donna Cresswell, and masterminded by Julie Vine, our Head of Learning Resources, who has spent countless hours sifting through our extensive collection of treasures from the last 130 years.

Parents, pupils, OQs, staff and friends of the school got their first glimpse of this stunning new facility on the morning of Speech Day, and it’s fair to say that everyone who visited was extremely impressed.

This is very much a work-in-progress, and we are keen to refresh the displays and create themed exhibitions as more artefacts come to light. In particular, we are very keen to source more items from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s (particularly audio-visual material) – so if you or a family member are in possession of something that could be of interest, please contact [email protected].
