Queenswood’s Trio Sonoro – violinist Nana W (Year 11), cellist Kalli Z (Year 10) and pianist Sylvia L (Year 13) – acquitted themselves superbly at the final of the South East Schools Chamber Music Competition on Tuesday 12 March.

The final was held in the exquisite church of St George in London’s Hanover Square. They performed a sublime rendition of the second movement of Clara Schumann’s Piano Trio in G minor.

Trio Sonoro were one of just 14 ensembles selected to compete in the final, from over 70 entries. Although they narrowly missed out on prize on this occasion, they were praised for their musicality and professionalism.
