This Sunday is St George's Day, and there are some fantastic local festivities arranged if you would like to celebrate the national day of England's dragon-slaying patron saint.

There will also be a plethora of food stalls serving Britain's favourite dishes including fish and chips and chicken tikka masala. Last year over 20,000 people enjoyed this most patriotic celebration, so there will definitely be a party vibe!

If you would prefer to stay closer to home, you might like to visit the 'green and pleasant land' at Wrest Park in Silsoe. At this English Heritage estate, you can enjoy a weekend of shows, battles, games, performances and activities culminating in England’s most legendary battle.
