As you will be aware, Her Majesty The Queen will celebrate her Platinum Jubilee - marking her 70 year reign, at the beginning of June. Here at Queenswood, we are excitedly planning ahead for our own celebrations to mark this auspicious occasion, which will take place on Friday 27th May, just before we break for the half term holiday.

On this day, our pupils and staff will enjoy a special Jubilee lunch where our fantastic Catering team will also serve the winning pudding from our Platinum Jubilee Pudding Competition.

We are asking all pupils to join in the Jubilee fun by designing their own individual crown or tiara to wear during the lunchtime party, photographs of which we will share with the Palace! There will also be a prize for the best crown or tiara - to be judged by Mr Nicholson from the Design and Technology Department.

So this weekend, why not make a start designing your very own Royal head piece to wear on 27th May. We are sure that you will have lots of brilliant design ideas of your own but have also included two suggestions below which you might find helpful.
