MRS BROWN, TEACHER OF MATHEMATICS

22 of our Year 10s took part in the East of England Online Maths Feast on 28 February. The Maths Feast is a fun educational challenge for Year 10 students which tests problem-solving and teamwork skills. Teams of four students test their maths skills with an all-you-can-eat feast of problems!

This year we were faced with some very tricky area questions, tackled a complex relay race and followed in the footsteps of Archimedes to find an approximation of pi.

One of our teams scored the top mark in the region for Round 1 and there were some very impressive scores and teamwork all round.

Our running-up team consisted of Millie S, Arabella L, Lily M, Olivia S and Safia R. Our winning team were Angie L, Tina C, Nana W, Maria M and Mahi K.
