On Monday all of Year 10 got to experience life as a Sixth Former here at Queenswood. Throughout the day we engaged in numerous informative and fun activities.

First we went on a tour of the Sixth Form Centre, which gave us the opportunity to appreciate the modern and practical study and social areas. Next we listened to an interesting talk about daily life in the Sixth Form and whether it would be suited to us as individuals.

We also had an opportunity to look at university prospectuses and visit the Sixth Form cafe.

In the afternoon everyone went to 40 minute A-Level taster lessons; mine included English, History and Maths. This really helped me to learn more about the A-Level course and ask teachers specific questions about the subject.

Overall it was a very enjoyable day and has made me excited for A-Levels and life in Sixth Form.
