Year 11 Historians Awarded Prizes for Enthusiasm and Commitment
Thursday 24 February 2022
The History Department is delighted to announce that three pupils in Year 11 have been awarded prizes for their work at GCSE.
Sophie A, Jodi-Faye H, Mia S will each receive a copy of Edward VI: The Lost King of England by by Chris Skidmore.
Mrs Curtin, Joint Head of History, writes:
‘The prizes are for the enthusiasm and commitment that these students have shown throughout their GCSE History course. They have a passion for the subject that shines through in lessons and they are also talented historians who have achieved excellent academic success in a number of papers. They are keen to redraft and perfect their exam answers-constantly striving to achieve higher marks; this is to be highly commended and a key to success.
Their passion is illustrated by their desire to read outside of the course and we enjoy discussing all things history-related with them in the office.
