Year 12 Physicists were invited to watch a guest lecture on Quantum Mechanics delivered by Professor Stephen Blundell from the University of Oxford on Thursday 28 April. He explored fundamental questions, such as ‘What is the world made of?’

The Universe exists within fixed physical laws and constants which we can’t change, however, Professor Blundell’s talk provided our students with an introduction to his research in quantum materials. His work allows him to investigate other possible choices for these constants, and providing new insight into the quantum nature of the Universe.
