Enrichment Week was a chance for Year 8 to immerse themselves in other cultures. Many travelled to northern Spain to explore the art, food and traditions of Bilbao and Santander. 

For those pupils based here at Queenswood, there were sessions devoted to French and Japanese culture, with craft activities such as Coco Chanel-inspired bin-bag couture, origami and calligraphy. They also had the opportunity to research and devise presentations on countries whose languages are not necessarily taught at Q, including Greece, North Macedonia, Italy and Switzerland.

On Tuesday, they teamed up with Year 9 pupils for a stimulating author workshop with explorer Matt Dickinson, Miriam Halahmy and local poet and compere extraordinaire, Professor Pango Mango.

They rounded off the week with a visit to the West End to enjoy a matinée performance of We Will Rock You.
