Year 9 Japanese: Shop Windows
Wednesday 19 May 2021
Over the last couple of weeks, Year 9 Japanese students have been looking at ‘traditional souvenirs of Japan’.
Pupils were invited to research this theme and then design a shop window or webpage advertising Japanese souvenirs whilst practising their Japanese language keyboard skills, using all three alphabets: Hiragana (the main phonetic alphabet), Katakana (used for 'loan' words) and Kanji (Chinese pictograms, used here for the prices).
