Years 7 and 8 Bake Christmas Millie’s Cookies

Years 7 and 8 had great fun this week, baking Christmas Millie's Cookies with Mrs Lee. The cookies looked delicious and we imagine Santa is hopeful that one will be left out for him and Rudolph to share! If you would like to have a go at baking the cookies at home, here is the recipe.
Ingredients
62g softened butter
50g light brown soft sugar
62g caster sugar
1/2 egg, lightly beaten
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
122g self-raising flour
Pinch salt
100g chocolate chips
Method
Step 1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Step 2. Cream the butter & the sugar until light and fluffy.
Step 3. Add the egg & vanilla a little at a time and mix well in between.
Step 4. Sift in the flour & salt and also stir in the chocolate chips.
Step 5. Roll into walnut size balls and place on a lined baking tray leaving room in between to allow them to spread.
Step 6. Bake in the oven for about 8 minutes.
Step 7. Take out of the oven and allow to firm up for a few minutes.
