On Wednesday 7 February we welcomed Frankie Spooner OQ (2010) back to Queenswood to speak to our Sixth Form students about mindset and how this has made her successful in her career in Tech sales. 

Frankie told us that she fell into the Tech industry after finishing University and at first she struggled to deal with the knockbacks and being a victim to her thoughts, until she changed her thinking and adopted a cultivating winning mindset. 

In her talk she highlighted that movement, consistency, motivation, grit and setting clear goals all played a part in putting her on a path to success and has led to her being one of the most successful account managers in Telefonica Tech. Frankie encouraged the students to partake in ‘power-posing’, deep breathing and positive thinking, something the students embraced. 

She explains how she still faces setbacks both professionally and personally, but the way she approaches and deals with them has made her more resilient and most importantly happy.
