We are very pleased to report that Old Queenswoodian Professor Helen Odell-Miller was awarded an OBE in the January New Year’s Honours List for her services to Music Therapy.

Helen is Professor of Music Therapy and Director of The Music Therapy Research Centre at Anglia Ruskin University. She is widely published in the field, and lectures and presents keynotes around the world regularly.

Helen left Queenswood in 1973 and went on to study at NottinghamUniversity and the Guildhall School of Music and  Drama. Her
family has strong connections with the School, with her sister Jill Odell (Mrs Shepherd) also attending Q.
