Further to last week's glimpse of life at Queenswood in 1951, we are delighted to share some excerpts from the 1961 Queenswoodian below.
Sir Thomas Bennett's Prize Giving Speech provides an illuminating observation of how opportunities for young women of the day were rapidly expanding and how with growing accessibility to motor transport, television and travel - their generation were enjoying more freedom than ever before.
The opening of the wooden bridge over Shepherd's Way was much celebrated and the Sixth Form Biologists visited New Hatfield.
