Excellent A-Level Results for the Class of 2024

Thursday 15 August 2024

Queenswood’s Class of 2024 are celebrating richly deserved successes at A-Level today, with a highly impressive 66.2% of grades at A*-B.

Students now progress to leading universities, where they will embark on a wide range of undergraduate courses, including Chemical Engineering, Archaeology, and Geography, all at UCL; Mathematics at Queen Mary London; Filmmaking and Creative Technologies at LIPA; International History and Politics at Leeds; Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience at Nottingham; and Law at LSE. One student has accepted a prestigious apprenticeship at Société Générale, while another is heading to San Diego University on a Tennis Scholarship.

The following subjects celebrated 100% of their grades at A*–B:  English Literature, Geography, Oriental Languages (Japanese and Chinese), Drama, Computer Science, Spanish, Further Maths and Music.

The average number of UCAS points accrued by each student was 134, which is equivalent to ABB+. The achievement among our most able students was especially high, with over 75% A*-B grades among the top two quartiles.

Principal Jo Cameron remarked, ‘I am delighted that the resilience, resourcefulness and creativity of our students and staff have been rewarded. Outside of the Covid-affected years, these are Queenswood’s best A-Level results since the exams were reformed. The overall results are impressive but for us it is the achievements of the individuals that really count, and I know that every student moving onto the next stage of their academic or professional career will have the most solid of foundations for future success.’
