We were lucky enough to have Mrs Suzie Black, founder of Shambhala Fundación, visit the Sixth Form earlier this month as part of the Sixth Form Enrichment Programme.

Shambhala Fundación is a charity in Majorca that gives under privileged young adults a second chance at an education and a better life. These young adults can come from any background, but to use Mrs Black’s words, ‘she doesn’t care’: as long as they have the fire within them to better themselves, she is willing to help them.

Mrs Black started Shambhala Fundación in 2012, and has risen past any challenge that has been put in her way.

Listening to her story truly inspired me, and fuelled my desire to help others. I would encourage anyone to take a look at Shambhala Fundación for themselves, and give any support they can.

The work Mrs Black has done is truly inspiring, and we were privileged to have such an accomplished and selfless woman come and speak.
