Geography
Geography at Queenswood is exciting and looks beyond the classroom, with fieldwork forming a key part of the curriculum.
Lessons are varied and incorporate the use of simulations and games, IT, group work and DVDs. In Years 7–9 we offer day visits to sites of geographical interest. In Year 10 and the Lower Sixth, pupils enjoy residential field trips in locations such as Snowdonia, Swanage, or the Yorkshire coast. Optional overseas visits for Geography students have included trips to Iceland and Costa Rica.
The subject is highly popular at GCSE and A-Level, and many girls go on to study Geography and related disciplines at university.
