The Get-Ahead Cook by OQ Jane Lovett

Now that we have returned to School, for many of us life is once again a juggling act of responsibilities and commitments. With so much to do, it can sometimes be difficult to find time to prepare nutritious and delicious meals - even when we know we should!

Recognising this challenge, Old Queenswoodian Jane Lovett wrote her book The Get-Ahead Cook - a collection of over 100 easy recipes achievable for all abilities, each with prepare-ahead elements to lighten the load.

Jane is a cook, food stylist, recipe developer and author. With over 40 years of experience, she trained at the Cordon Bleu, before teaching at Leith’s School of Food and Wine and going on to run her own catering company in London.

Believing that cooking should be fun, rather than frightening or a chore, Jane's recipes build in simple planning and preparation, just five or ten minutes here and there, which makes the task achievable for those short of time.
